The 2014 Terrot S2112-2 is a highly specialized, industrial high-speed single-jersey circular knitting machine manufactured by Terrot, a premier German textile machinery company.
Key Features & Capabilities
- Machine Type: Single Jersey (Plain & Structured fabrics).
- High-System Density: The 112 in the name relates to its ultra-high feeder configuration. It features an impressive 3.7 feeds per inch of diameter. For example, a standard 30-inch diameter version of this machine would pack roughly 110+ yarn feeders, allowing it to knit fabric incredibly fast.
- Open-Width Frame: This model is designed to slit and roll the fabric out flat rather than collecting it as a compressed tube. This eliminates center creases entirely, preserving the absolute highest fabric quality.
- What Its Best For: It is heavily favored for high-efficiency production of premium elastane-plated knitwear (stretchy athleisure/swimwear) and lightweight 3-thread fleece.
